FAR (Foundation for Art Resources)
The Foundation for Art Resources [FAR] was founded in 1977 to facilitate the production and presentation of work by artists who challenge and expand the boundaries of established notions of art and art making.
Within the Los Angeles region, FAR aims to act as a catalyst for activities that foster dialogue and interaction between artists and the public.
FAR is a non-profit arts organization.
Functioning without a permanent exhibition space, office or paid staff, FAR's programs and services are organized and administered by a board of Directors who meet bimonthly, and a Board of Advisors. These boards are comprised of artists, arts professionals, and those with vested interest to serve the organization.
The Board of Directors is responsible for all aspects of FAR's programming, policymaking, fundraising, grant writing and administration. There is no director, and all decisions are determined by consensus. Volunteers are welcome, and encouraged to contact us by emailing email@example.com.

FAR functions without a permanent exhibition space, office, or paid staff. FAR's programs and services are organized and administered by a volunteer Board of Directors who meet bimonthly, or as needed to produce upcoming events.
The Board is comprised of artists, arts professionals, and those with vested interest to serve the organization and Los Angeles. The Board of Directors is responsible for all aspects of FAR, including programming, policymaking, fundraising, grant-writing, and administration.
Every year the Board elects a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. However, all decisions are made by committee, making all voices equal.
FAR is now accepting applications for the Board of Directors on an ongoing basis. If you are an artist, curator, critic or just passionate about art and can commit some of your time to developing FAR programs download an application. We will review applications periodically and call for new members as needed.
Volunteers are always needed on an ongoing basis. If you would like to assist FAR with any upcoming events please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
