THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO WAS PART OF "URBAN GRAVITATION"
A couple of weeks have passed since we had "URBAN GRAVITATION" Art & Music Show on Sunday July 12th, 2009. Our show consisted of 3 events in 3 separate spaces within one venue (THE GREEN TURTLE Whittier, CA). A gallery space, a patio with live graffiti artists, and the main bar with live bands and rappers on stage. Our theme "URBAN GRAVITATION" was inspired to bring in artworks and music that expressed some aspects of urban life. Because in our big metropolis as diverse as everything is, we also intermingle at some point, this was the focus of our show.
- An extra room inside the venue was transformed into an alternative space gallery with an installation based on architectural designs that served as a wall to hang artworks. (This was an amazing installation). The alternative gallery space has been described as one big installation.
- The patio was transformed with special "canvases" for graffiti artists to work live.
- And the main stage, next to the bar and DJ spinning between 4 bands and 6 rappers.
First I would like to thank Architects Jesus Eduardo Magaña & Paulina Boyer-Magaña. Even though, we only had less than two months to prepare for this show they worked diligently to a great result. Their creative designs are amazing. They have been there since day 1 and have worked extra hard to assure an awesome Installation. Also, I would like to thank Architects Andy & Jacky, who contributed to the success of the installation, for extending their home to be used as a construction shop. Andy and Jacky‘s effort and collaborative work with Paulina and Eduardo, where key to the success of the show. I would like to thank everyone on the side of the Paulina and Eduardo who came out to assist with construction and set up. I don't know their names but I know that many came out to help out their fellow architect friends. Thank you all for your support.

I would also like to thank all friends and relative and anyone who came out to support the show. All of our audience, without you the show had not been a success. If I didn't thank everyone by name, I apologize as this show was very successful and a lot of people came out to the event. Everyone who shared pictures and videos, please if any of you have pictures and video please share them as a video documenting the show is being prepared. (Thanks in advance to Peter Bukasa)
Everyone feel free to send me any feedback as to your experience, what you liked, and any criticisms. I would like to consider everyone's opinion as there are more shows on the way and my intension is to create shows that provide the most benefit to all.
