About

Art Camp in Kushtia is an initiative by some young activists of different cultural fields in Bangladesh. It started with the leadership of Artist Shawon Akand in association with Artist Delowar Hossain in Kushtia (a district of Bangladesh) since 2007.
Description
Organizers of the Art Camp believe that Art is a complex process and is not separated from life. We think that every form of art has an inter-relation and it is necessary to develop these connections to create a favorable environment for the progress of artistic practice. Therefore, not only visual artists but also theatre activists, photographers, film makers, psychologists, poets, writers, journalists, actors and people from many other disciplines are welcome in this art camp.

In 2009 Centre for Research on Art and Culture (CRAC), a research based organization of Bangladesh, took over the total responsibility of this Art Camp renaming it as CRAC International Art Camp. From this year (2012), CRACK Bangladesh, a not for profit organization, going to take over the all responsibility of this art camp and same as before, it will be arranged as a multi-disciplinary art camp with international participants
