DIFFUSES SELBST Dieter Roth und andere Gescheiterte / Diffused Self, Dieter Roth and other failed
The exhibition revolves around the vibrant creative production that can break out in many different ways. The focus lies on the work of the Swiss artist and graphic designer Dieter Roth, who has been creating paintings and sculptures of perishable goods since the 1960s. In the 1960s and 70s, the boundaries between art and life dissolved and Roth was one of the protagonists of the Fluxus movement. He took many artists and non-artists on a journey to understand life through creative processes.
Works from two private collections pay homage to the creative dilettantism, create exciting interrelations between the works as well as the personalities and tell wonderful stories.
For five years LOFT has existed as a private, non-commercial project space for national and international art. For us a good reason to celebrate this little anniversary with this special exhibition.
