No. 2 Decor: Ceramic Vessels & Painting
Join us for Dialogues a series of student/faculty exhibitions that will begin this summer and continue throughout the fall. These interdisciplinary showings have been set up by the Armory Art Center's exhibitions program to emphasize the meaningful dialogue that exists between students and their instructors. Each exhibition is curated by two faculty members from two different departments and their students.
Our second installment, "Decor", features work created by Deborah Adornato (ceramics instructor) and Sam Perry (painting instructor) and their students. Both of these instructors encourage their students to explore abstract issues to alter the surface and composition of their work. Embellishment, pattern, and textures enhance the visual appearance and functionality of the painting or ceramic piece to create decorative artwork that can be both ornate and functional.
