I love fiber, color, texture, mixing media, stitching, printing, dyeing etc. Right now I am trying to use as many recycled materials as I can, my wanting to diminish my carbon footprint a little at a time. I use rusty metal to print on fiber, I love the color ranges I get in the process and the ethereal quality of the technique, a lovely benefit is that it also helps the metal to break down faster so no need to go into a landfill. Currently I am creating sculptured thread / yarn bowls from recycled thrums, (thrums are the thread and yarn leftovers from weaving, generously donated to me by one of my weaving friends, Deborah Jarchow). I am in a period of learning and expansion and enjoying most of every minute.
