Sarah Ramirez is a graphic artist and painter out of Whittier, California. Sarah creates designs digitally, then recreates them using acrylic paints and canvas. Although women and sexual connotations seem to be the main focus of her art pieces, she is only concerned with beautiful composition and complementing colors rather than subject matter. She refuses to be afraid to use color, sighting it as a medium in and of itself. Her work is a reflection of her love for graphic design, 60s style composition and modern art.
"Each of these pieces is composed by building up silhouettes and colors that, I feel, make perfect sense together. I love the cute, sexy and strange feeling all at the same time. These pieces are very feminine, yet they aren't very loving or welcoming. I want each image to be a stamp in your memory. I feel that the two-dimensional style and bright, matte colors reinforce this effect. These images will look strangely familiar, but are unlike anything you've seen before. If you can't quite put your finger on it, I believe I've done a good job."
