Statement

Pola Lopez is a preeminent painter who is based in Santa Fe, New Mexico and Los Angeles, California, and whose work is a multifaceted and polychromatic array of symbolic imagery that is infused with spiritual vision and incendiary composition.

Pervading the work is an underlying energy that filters the mundane with the spiritual and
is her unique style of expression. This dynamic use of color and energy, and the contrary synergy of uncompromising duality have allowed her success in achieving luminous works of intense color, which are profusely charged with meaning.

Through her endeavors and accomplishments as a professional artist in New Mexico she is distinguished as one of  the "Acclaimed” artists of the State. Lopez has also established herself among the leading Latina/Chicana artists in the U.S. to emerge from the Southwest.  Her work has been the recipient of numerous Best of Show awards, and is held in permanent collection in museums as well as private collections.
