A self portrait starts as a basic representation and expands as we grow in experience. The 'I' dissoves into the 'US'. In the end there is a hope that you might get a glimpse of who, what and where we really are.
The work begins with the 7 year olds 'A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man (original)' and travels through time to include The Star as well as 'Index'. The 'Wounds' speak to repair, healing as well as dimensions. Issues of conciousness, process, identity, representation and history are explored.
