Quick Facts

Right now I’m working with Venetian plaster.  It has a density to it. It takes marks and leaves a trace.  I scrape, add and remove paint, add and remove paper, and slowly an image begins to emerge.   There are tracings, ghosts, and shadows.  They become a place to enter.  Trace marks become my guide.

The primary pull is to leave an emotional mark. If it hits the emotional mark, then it also has a holding power of beauty.

Arts affords me an opportunity to go outside of an ordered, logical or analytical self. There are not many social safety nets for rebellion. Art is one vehicle for that.
