Zoran Poposki (PhD, MFA) is an internationally acclaimed transdisciplinary artist, curator, and art educator based in Hong Kong.

Poposki explores cultural translation, liminality, identity, and public space through painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, performance, video, and publishing.

His work has been shown in 70+ exhibitions, screenings and festivals worldwide, including: Art Basel Hong Kong, 30th Biennial of Graphic Arts Ljubljana, Institute of Contemporary Arts London, SOHOinOttakring and Thyssen-Bornemisza 21 Art Contemporary Vienna, Xi'an Art Museum in China, Asia Contemporary Art Show, Museu da Vila Velha Portugal, The Danish National School of Performing Arts Copenhagen, National Museum of Montenegro, Sergey Kuryokhin Modern Art Center in St. Petersburg in Russia, City Art Museum Ljubljana, Museo de Arte de Ponce San Juan in Puerto Rico, National Gallery of Macedonia, Museum of Contemporary Art Skopje, Art Stays Festival of Contemporary Art Ptuj, University of Sharjah, Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art in Manchester, etc. His public art projects have been presented on urban LED screens, video billboards, posters and billboards in NYC, Skopje, Dublin, Hong Kong, etc.  

Poposki has exhibited alongside some of the major names in contemporary artistic production, including: Gerhard Richter, Nam Jun Paik, Allora and Calzadilla, Xu Bing, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Jenny Holzer, Olafur Eliasson, William Eggleston, Thomas Ruff, Robert Cahen, Sebastiao Salgado, etc. 
His works have been selected for curated and juried exhibitions by prominent international curators and critics, including: Deborah Cullen (Director and Head Curator, Gallery of the Columbia University New York), Elisabeth Sussman (Curator, Whitney Museum, NYC), Donald Kuspit (Professor Emeritus of art history and philosophy, SUNY), etc.

Poposki's curatorial projects have been shown at: Hong Kong Arts Centre, Osage Gallery Hong Kong, Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art Manchester, Anita Chan Lai-ling Gallery Hong Kong, Videotage Hong Kong, ArtStays International Festival of Contemporary Art Slovenia, Gallery 3D Mestre, Hong Kong Science and Technology Park, etc.

Awards include: CEC Artslink Award (New York), ArtSlant Prize Showcase Juried Winner (Los Angeles), ID+consonni Sondika (Spain), Vermont Studio Center Artist Grant, Rise Art Prize Shortlist (London), Global Art Awards Finalist/Painting (Dubai, in association with The Wall Street Journal), etc.

Education: Executive Certificate in International Leadership in Visual Arts Management (New York University, University of Deusto, Guggenheim Bilbao), PhD Cultural Studies (EuroBalkan University Skopje), MFA New Media (Donau Universitat Krems, Austria and Transart Institute NYC). 

Artist residencies include: SVA School of Visual Arts (New York), Wooloo (Berlin), PNCA Pacific Northwest College of Art (Portland, OR), VSC Vermont Studio Center, etc.

Poposki's work is collected in the Luciano Benetton Foundation's Imago Mundi collection (Italy) and in the Videotage Media Art Collection (Hong Kong), featured in Saatchi Art collections, and archived in the AUP archive (a project of e-flux in collaboration with the Serpentine Gallery London).
