I examine family interaction through non-verbal communication. Implementing deliberate and acute editing, I deconstruct my documentary video footage - separating and reconfiguring individual elements in the imagery, uncovering communication that often goes unseen.

I am a video artist, independent curator and collaborator. Born in 1978 in Milwaukee, USA, I recently relocated to Los Angeles, CA from Santiago de Chile. I received my BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and my MFA, in electronic integrated arts, from Alfred University. My work has been exhibited and screened worldwide including Transmediale, Art Beijing 2010, Streaming Festival, LOOP Video Art Festival, among others. Additionally I was invited to speak about my work at the Universidad Mayor (2009) and the Universidad de Chile (2009) in Santiago de Chile, and also as a juror at the III Festival de Videoarte de Camagüey (2010) in Cuba. In 2010 I was invited for an artist residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, and I'm a recent recipient of a 2012 Regional Artist Project grant from the Arts & Science Council of the State of North Carolina (USA).
