Victoria Veedell was born in Texas and received her BFA at Texas A & M University, Corpus Christi. She continued her training at L’Ecole Albert Defois, Association D’Ateliers D’Art Internationaux, Les Cerquex, France and at graduate school at New York University. She has been an artist in residence at the Vermont Studio Center, Johnson, VT in 2001 and 2008, Kamiyama Artist in Residence, Tokushima Prefecture, Japan in 2004, and the Chitraniketan Residency, Kovalam, Kerala, India in 2002. She lives and works in San Francisco, CA.
Victoria Veedell’s paintings evoke landscapes not necessarily seen, but felt, as they come from her memory and imagination. She examines the dramatic effects of light in the natural world and sets the mood for her paintings by creating a meditative atmosphere. Victoria's paintings have been exhibited nationally and internationally in galleries and art centers. Her work is in numerous corporate and private collections.
