Originally from Pennsylvania, I moved to New York City and stayed after going to art school. I have always painted even as a small child and I have always been fascinated by the natural world. Plants, animals, geology and unusual places and facts about the animal kingdom have been areas of interest.
My most recent paintings are about human beings and their relationship with the natural world. As humans we are in a constant state of competion with the natural world and also we are a part of the natural world, being animals ourselves. This irony and interelationship has been the inspiration for my work quite a while.
