Chris Deriso received his MFA from School of Visual Arts in 2010 and his BFA magna cum laude from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2008. His paintings are currently held in corporate and institutional collections including The Foundry and Savannah College of Art and Design as well as the private collections of Marilyn Minter, Gary Stephan and David Row. He has shown in Perry Rubenstien, Claire Oliver, Artist Space, NY, Gutstein, Pei Ling Chan, GA and included in exhibitions alongside artists Cheryl Donovan, Matthew Ritchie, Paul Pfeiffer and Jessica Stockholder. His work is interested in the emotive and cathartic usage of art he exploits in painting in such a way to promote humor and engage the pathos.  His works are on view at White Columns Artist Registry and The Drawing Center’s Viewing Program, NY.
