Qiu Jie Biography
1961   Born in Shanghai
1978 - 1981   Graduated at the School of Decorative Arts in Shanghai
1985   Presented his first solo art exhibition at the Palace of Culture Xu Hui of Shanghai
1989 - 1993   Graduated in multi-media at the School of Fine Arts in Geneva
  Currently lives and works in Beijing, China
  Prizes and dinstinctions
  Granted a studio by the town of Geneva in the Maison des arts de Grütli, Geneva, 1996
  Federal prize of Fine Arts, 1995
  Simon I. Patino’ scholarship granted by the Cité des arts, Paris, 1995
  1st prize in the competition organised by the Cantonal funds for decoration and visual arts of Geneva, 1994
