Quick Facts
Statement

My work explores issues of identity, especially as they relate to queerness, immigration and, home.

I am interested in notions of inclusion and exclusion and how they impact the daily routines and emotional lives of immigrants. Rather than addressing generalities, my creative process is grounded in personal experience of these issues.

Currently, as a fellow with the Intercultural Leadership Institute (ILI), I’ve recently presented performances in Jackson, Mississippi and Rapid City, South Dakota. Utilizing food, percussion, sound, and spoken word, these works explored the concept of home and my experience of the immigration process.
