Statement

My name is Enrico Miguel Thomas and I have been drawing since the age of eight. I have always been fascinated with comic book drawings. I can still remember how the great comic book artist, Stan Lee was a role model for me as a young artist. I was always amazed at how quickly he would draw his super hero action figures. Today my work still involves much drawing but with a larger array of materials. I enjoy the challenge of taking a seemingly impossible drawing surface (subway maps, poster boards, etc) and transforming it into art. My work is all about capturing the movement and speed of a metropolis space. What is most important to me as an artist is the impression and spirit of the architecture and the space it inhabits.
