Statement

If you ask, most people will agree that the number 7 is green, I see my work as that same sort of impossible description.

My artwork is a compulsion, or therapy, or a mania, definitly a release. The works themselves are without intent, but somehow still very personal to me. Generated almost by trance through automatic movements in order to capture a particular time or mood. Most of my work would be considered "automatic art" or "stream of consciousness"in that way. With the major forms laid out in one shot as quickly as possible, built from a series of arcing, sweeping organic curves and lines. Then finished (inked, dissected, and split into layers) assembled, and painted in the same automatic style. Without much forethought, planning or measurement.

I have sought to create pieces that are as unique to me as possible. Something new, strange, beautiful or disturbing, for its own sake.
