I have been painting for over twenty years. I began my journey at Bondi Beach markets selling my first drawing for $5, a pastel sketch of a boy holding a surfboard, I nearly fell over and it was all I needed to continue.
Recently I picked up my oil paints after a long break. They are so liberating to my art practice. I also enjoy workng with found and recycled objects, lino printing and drawing.
My subjects are seascapes and landscapes. The Australian coast and bush are a contstant source of inspiration for me. I enjoy the challenge of painting different weather conditions and light, especially rain and night scenes.
Being an artist is everything to me, it's what I'm meant to be doing and when everything is else is crazy, I can find a constant in my art.
