“Eyes wide open…a heightened understanding of the universe though increased visual, peripheral and metaphysical perception. When ignorance gives way to a new consciousness, the mind calms down, yet at the same instant it experiences a dynamic transformation. Human psyche intrigues me. My art attempts to understand nuances of the psychological and social landscape around me through a process of reflection and meditation. A self-taught artist, my paintings reflect my perceptions of life and relationships, in my journey from design to art. I work primarily with acrylics on canvas, where I combine modelling paste to create form and texture. I enjoy experimenting with mediums and techniques, and this has been my source of learning. Currently I am practicing encaustic art and printmaking.”
