picture or paintings ?
My apologies for not responding earlier, but I have been out of the country for nearly 3 months. To create a work that is less dependant or dominated by it's subject matter may be impossible, and with the advent of photography- I think undesirable, ! However thankyou for your encouraging comments. D Whitfield

Hi Jukka,
How are you doing? I think modern art is a blind man’s profession. We do not paint what we see, but what we feel. The mediums we use are always imperfect What makes a good piece is the ability to execute an idea, regardless of the means or the proportions or the medium. I hope my artwork “Blue Sky Thinking” makes you happy. It should remind you of something that you enjoy. If it tortures you please let me know. All the best in the contest! Cheers

Hello Jukka, Greetings from Mumbai!! I am privileged to participate in the ArtSlant’s 2nd April-May Juried Showcase Competition. I am visiting various artsites of the ArtSlant community to have interaction and to stay inspired. I would like to share my passion for paintings with established artists like you. I have visited your Artsite and found your artwork interesting and creative.I have given you my 2nd vote. You deserve many many more. All the Best. I would appreciate it if you could find time to visit my artsite and give your valuable comments. For this round, I have entered my new art work “Slumdog Millionaire” (inspired by the Oscar winning motion picture) executed in my usual Abstract Colouristic Style.! Have a look at it and Enjoy! Thanks for your time. All the Best. Cheers Seshadri
