Statement

For two years post-graduation, Beck was Studio Manager for mentor, Ke Francis. Under his guidance, she was awarded merit scholarships to Edinburgh College of Art and an Altrusa award. Beck was master-printer in 2010 on a James Siena woodcut edition -now in MOMA's collection. In 2012, she launched a national campaign that collects donations of certain post-consumer plastics for installation material. She designed an edible-forest installation which she completed 2013. OMA invited her to exhibit in their 2014 Florida Prize in Contemporary Art which resulted in commissions for two private collections. Last year she started The Rooftop, an interactive, bioart installation in Brooklyn which is a collaboration with husband, Robert C. Beck.
