Pierre Yves Clouin
Pierre Yves Clouin is a video artist and filmmaker. He was born in Paris, where he lives and works. He studied architecture at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He has exhibited his paintings and photos in Paris.
His videos have been selected in festivals worldwide: the International Film Festivals of San Francisco, Chicago, Thessaloniki, Split, Moscow, Los Angeles, the Biennial of Moving Images Geneva, VideoBrasil, Videonale, Ars Electronica, Athens (Ohio), Sundance and FID Marseille, among many others, and screened at BFI and Lux London, Saw Galery Ottawa and Pleasure Dome Toronto, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and San Francisco Cinematheque, Anthology Film Archives (MIX NYC), Paula Cooper Gallery (New Art Program) and Apexart New York City, Cineteca Nacional México and México City's Museo Tamayo Arte Contemporáneo, Chicago Filmmakers, Dublin Art House, Modern Art Oxford, Guggenheim Bilbao, Smart Project Space Amsterdam, Bauhaus Dessau Foundation, Hong Kong Space Museum (Microwave International Media Art Festival), Museum of Africa Johannesburg, Museum of Contemporary Art of Rosario Argentina, Philadelphia Museum of American Art, Museum of Modern Art Lille-Metropole, the Museum van Hedendaagse Kunst in Antwerp, Centre Pompidou (Rencontres Paris Berlin), Art Basel (VIPER International Festival for Film, Video and New Media), Pro Arte Institute St. Petersburg and the 2nd Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art among others.
