Statement

Patrick uses collage techniques to create layers and planes of texture, pattern and colour in his work. He is interested in making 3-dimensional pieces that quietly confound the viewers expectations using false planes, lines and unexpected juxtapositions.

An artist/designer, his work is a mixture of the abstract, geometric and typographic applied onto made objects. In his drawing work he is fascinated by the hybrids of people, animals and symbols that are often found in classical mythology as well as tribal and religious artefacts.
