Bio

Ariel Kleinberg is an artist from New York, NY working in a variety of media, primarily drawing, painting, and performance. She earned a BA in Ancient Greek from Vassar College in 2009 and an MFA in Painting from the New York Studio School in 2014. After graduating, she was granted the Hohenberg Award for European Travel and set out on an odyssey through the UK, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, and Italy, creating hundreds of small paintings documenting her journey, which she exhibited at NYSS upon her return. Since then, she has been an artist-in-residence at the Triangle Artists' Workshop and the League Residency at Vyt and has participated in Jam Fest, the LIC Arts Open, and the New York City Poetry Festival. She lives and works in Brooklyn.
