Paola Katherine Rodriguez

Paola Katherine Rodriguez (b. 1989, Miami, Florida) explores the ideas of identity, advocacy, healing, mindfulness, connection, and relationships through art. She is best known for her series Broken Free, an ongoing photo-based project that promotes awareness of all forms of victimization while empowering survivors to break the silence.
Paola has exhibited work at Newspace Center for Photography, Girls’ Club Collection, FIU Miami Beach Urban Studios, FIU Graham Center Art Gallery, and has participated in group shows such as 9 Topics TRIAD at Arthill Gallery in London, UK and The Fifth Annual Exposure Award at Musée du Louvre in Paris, France. She was a featured artist at the Take Back the Night program at FIU for two consecutive years. Paola was awarded a scholarship at the 2014 FIU Thesis I Fall Review, with her series Broken Free.
Paola received a BA and a BFA from Florida International University in 2014 and 2015, respectively. She lives and works in Portland, Oregon.
