Dakota DeVos is a student in the Masters Program of Art and Visual History at Humboldt University in Berlin. She was awarded a Fulbright Scholar/Research Grant for 2013-14 to explore the development of educational programming in turn-of-the-century German art museums. Dakota earned her B.A. in the History of Art with a Minor in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. While an undergraduate, Dakota founded the Johns Hopkins Museum Club and wrote an honors thesis entitled “Anarchism and Abstraction in Kandinsky’s Blue Rider Period.” Through professional experience in museums, commercial galleries, and as an artist's assistant, Dakota has had the opportunity to observe many layers of the art world and the ways in which they interact. A native Mainer, Dakota enjoys playing ice hockey in her spare time.
