Statement

Melinda Eckley is a Michigan native, who lives and works out of Memphis, Tennessee. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Studio from Memphis College of Art. Her design work has been featured on national and international stages working for clients such as: Rolex, Polo, Subaru, Discover Card, Wendy’s, LifeWay and  the Santa Barbara Institute of Dance. Currently, Eckley’s conceptual work combines methods of design with thread mediums to form sculptural instillations. Her work remains deeply rooted in the investigation of spatial form through historical, feminist and philosophical traditions of thought.
