Linda Wein is an encaustic painter and fine art educator based in Pacific, Missouri. Her work focuses on imaginary landscapes influenced by her childhood growing up in the Great Lakes region, as well as recent trips to the American Southwest.

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Ms. Wein completed fine arts coursework at Cuyahoga Community College in Parma, Ohio, Kent State University in Kent, Ohio and Fontbonne University in St. Louis, Missouri.   Initially trained in acrylic painting, Ms. Wein fell in love with encaustic painting and has never looked back.  She has exhibited in group shows in both Northeast Ohio and the St. Louis region and is an active member of the local arts and encaustic community.  Her work has been published and can also be found in private collections across the United States.  Ms. Wein currently teaches visual art in a local public school district.
