Statement

Ashley grew up in Georgia and attended Savannah College of Art and Design for Photography, Though she's always had a passion for drawing and painting it was at SCAD that she further developed her style. Most of her paintings are acrylic and mixed media (resin, ink, graphite, pastel, oil etc) on canvas. She is constantly experimenting with new ways to visually represent popular culture and the way it affects communication and the need for immediate gratification both personally and in the world at large. Her most recent collections are specifically focused on social media and it's effect on language and communication in daily life. She is currently showing her work in Savannah and Brooklyn. She lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
