Betsy Van Die
Before fulfilling my childhood dream of attending the Rhode Island School of Design, I took classes at the Art Institute of Chicago’s Young Artists’ Studios program in addition to studying with Chicago imagist Phyllis Bramson at the Evanston Art Center. After graduating from RISD, I lived in Rotterdam, the Netherlands where I had a solo photography exhibit featuring gritty B&W NYC cityscapes that are a precursor to my current work. In the last three decades, I have exhibited my work widely in juried exhibits throughout the United States and abroad, with my paintings and sculptures in public and private collections.
