Qetesha (Tesha) Haynes is a creative professional with diverse, dynamic, and rich career experiences. Tesha is always interested in learning and growing, and cares deeply about social issues. Tesha is fascinated by art and technology.
The first story I published is, "It is Not What You Think!"
Tesha discovered her love for art, technology, science fiction, and music at an early age. Tesha loves to exploit her imagination and use her creativity. Tesha is an artist, author, and marketing professional.
Tesha is a candidate for a Masters of Fine art in Creative Writing. Tesha learned and grew professionally while studying abroad in Europe.
Tesha graduated from University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography, Film, and Electronic Media (2006). While attending UIC, I worked full-time as a Tommy Hilfiger Marketing specialist. The work was creatively demanding, and managing a designer brand benefited my career development greatly. Tommy Hilfiger was an excellent company in which to learn about marketing and branding, and through this experience, I discovered firsthand the techniques for building and maintaining a loyal clientele.
Next, Tesha interned with Disney, where she enjoyed the opportunity to work for a globally diverse company. Here, Tesha had the chance to work in many different areas with very different job descriptions, such as guest relations, customer service, and an entertainment role. Tesha also participated in many networking events.
While Tesha interned at Disney, she greatly benefited from the opportunity to work with Cirque Du Soliel’s La Nouba performance, which was an incredible experience. Cirque Du Soliel is an entertainment powerhouse, to say the least, and Tesha was awestruck at this performance. However, the La Nouba performers were down-to-earth, approachable people who treated everyone they worked with as a vital member of their team. Tesha’s first day working there was unforgettable. Some of the performers actually practiced in the concession area while we prepared to open. It was such a great experience that Tesha became a member of the Cirque Du Soliel club, and since then Tesha attends many of the shows.
Tesha grew up playing Nintendo, and admired the company’s ability to consistently introduce innovation in order to maintain dominance in the video game industry. The chance to work with Nintendo proved to Tesha that childhood dreams really do come true.
While in Redmond, Washington for training, Tesha had the chance to experience Nintendo’s headquarters and its rich organizational culture. Through the marketing position, Tesha gained an immeasurable amount of knowledge about the video game industry and marketing strategies. Tesha also came to understand how the organization had managed to dominate the industry for many decades.
This was dynamic position, and Tesha represented the global organization well. Tesha negotiated, organized, and ran many Nintendo events, such as Nintendo’s mall tour, product launch parties, grand openings, and Pokémon parties). Tesha even starred in a short training video.
