Sylvia Hamilton Goulden is an award winning artist exploring movement, energy, and emotion, expressed through the mediums of water color, acrylic, monoprint, collage and assemblage, and video.

Her artwork has been described as having a ''joie de vivre" that reflects her dance background. Whether filled with bold colors and kinetic energy, or a softer, lyrical approach, her paintings project an exciting vitality that has delighted viewers at her extensive California exhibits. Her curiosity and sense of adventure allow work in several mediums which have been enthusiastically received, and have a place in many private collections in the United States and abroad.

Sylvia is a current member of Women Painters West, Collage Artists of America, Valley Watercolor Society, Los Angeles Experimental Artists, was a founding director of Artist Co-op 7, and has been active on the board of VIVA Art Gallery.  She continues to teach art as time permits.
