Kate Andrews is an Edinburgh-based writer and founder of ‘JaAliceKlarr projects’; a cross-disciplinary curatorial collaboration which has realised visual arts projects including Shelflife: A biblio-Sideshow for the Edinburgh Art Festival and Neue Kunst aus Schottland: Self-Made Cavalcade at the Akademie Galerie, Munich.
Alice Klarr is the nome de plume and creative alter-ego of Kate Andrews: committed to the production and dissemination of visual art and art writing.
She studied Contemporary art theory and Sculpture at Edinburgh College of Art and Public Art at Edinburgh’s Telford College. She has recently worked as Assistant Producer on Craig Coulthard’s Forest Pitch project (a part of the London 2012 festival and Cultural Olympiad ) and as an arts writer for The Skinny, Scotlands largest independent culture and listings magazine; Edinburgh/Limerick-based journal Occupy Paper and online culture and travel blogThe Flaneur.
