When I was child, I believed the grass could feel and the stones could hear.I believed that things are mostly not as they seem and that the ghosts of the past walked in the present and influenced today. Not much has changed.
I am intrigued by the mystery of reality. One minute we think we have it for certain but this certainty is never for long.I want to create images that invite multiple meanings. I am interested in offering possibilities not in directing the viewer. I explore the more that is there, beyond conscious intent, seeking what is unseen but there nonetheless.
I am currently working with acrylic and ink on mylar as well as acrylic on canvas. Mylar's nonporous surface allows a fluidity of motion that is exciting to experience. While I alway feel in relationship with my work as it develops, mylar offers and immediacy of experience that is exciting in new ways.
