Statement

Sonja Thomsen's photographs and installations have been featured in exhibitions throughout the United States. Her photographs are in the permanent collection of the Milwaukee Art Museum. Thomsen's work has recently been exhibited at: Silverstein Photography, NYC; Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, Madison WI; David Weinberg Gallery, Chicago IL; Silvereye Center for Photography, Pittsburgh PA and the Haggerty Museum of Art, Milwaukee WI. Thomsen was a Hermitage Fellow in 2008 and a nominee for the Santa Fe Prize in 2009. She recieved a MFA in 2004 from the San Francisco Art Institute. Sonja Thomsen lives and works in Milwaukee WI.
