Kacper Lipiński /Biography/
Born on 10th May,1979 in Poznan. Started dancing in 2000, after an extensive experience as a martial arts instructor. In 2003, received a diploma of completion of a 2-year contemporary dance teaching course in his native Poland. For four years he has been a student of History of Art in the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and also completed his MFA at the Graphic Design department of Poznan Academy of Fine Arts in 2009. He was a member of the Alternative Dance Academy Scholarship 2011/2012 organized by the Art Stations Foundation in Poznan.
Between 2004 and 2008 he was a member of the Polish Dance Theatre, under the artistic direction of Ewa Wycichowska. Besides performing several works by E. Wycichowska, he worked with a number of international choreographers such as Paulina Wycichowska (PL), William Petit (FR),Karine Saporta (FR), Susanne Jaresand (SE), Magdalena Reiter (PL/ SI), Iwona Pasińska (PL), Andrzej Adamczak (PL) and Thierry Verger (FR). Appeared in such productions as: „En face“, „Desorder“, „Szparagijem“, „Cases of Mr von K“, „Carpe Diem“, „Walka Karnawału z Postem“, „Apocalypse“, „stop non-stop“, „Game2“, „Game3“, „36 / 5 ° C“, „Beatus vir qui“ and „Summer“.The third part of the triptych "Sex, Drugs & Rock'n'Roll" - "III. Sympathy for the Devil" in collaboration with the UstaUsta theater, dir. Marcin Liber. In addition, he designed costumes for the piece „Game3“, costumes and scenography for the work „O-zone“ and video installations for the performance „Efatha“ (Polish Dance Theater).
In October 2007, he had his debut as a choreographer with the solo „IME Ektasi“, premiered at the Stary Browar Nowy Taniec in Poznań (PL). In 2008, he created the duet „Du łe Du“, presented in Warsaw at the platform organized by Dance Theater „Zawirowania“. In 2009, he created the piece „…and word become body…and from body become word“ as part of his Masters degree in the Academy of Fine Arts. It was presented at the Stary Browar Nowy Taniec in Poznań (PL). In 2011 he created and performed the solo "Testament" in the Mandala Performance Festival in Wrocław. In 29.06.2012 he made new theater project "Amnesia (reality mendacious)" presented at the Centre Theatre S / T in Warsaw project for dancer, actress, and two musicians. (Cast: Anita Sokołowska, Kacper Lipinski, Christopher Kaliski, Cezary Wheeler) meeting of improvisation sound/text/movement .
In 27.10.2012 he created solo performance "Strange Case of Master Wo" boat in the FRU - two PFKI (Polish Festival of Contact Improvisation). In 08.06.2013, he made solo performance "Around"/“wOkOłO“ one the Gdansk Dance Festival 2013, in the residence granted by the club Zak (Gdańsk) with artistic cooperation of Trajal Harrell. He’s last production is movement performance on three actors , „3P“ presented in the Theater of 8th Day in Poznan (premiere: 07.11.2014)
Since 2008 till 2013, he‘s been a member of the independent group Movement Factory, established by Iwona Pasińska. Participated in the work „Desert of Couples“ (Malta Festival 2008) both as a performer and as a video artist. He collaborated with Czesław Mozil in the creation and performance of „GRAMY 4U“ (CK Zamek Poznań 2009). He worked as a performer and as a costume designer in the piece „Saliga“ (Festival Malta 2009). Performed the work „TROP: DANCE AS ART“ in the festival Madeinpoznan (Grand Theatre, Poznan, PL); „BODYLAND“ (Malta Festival, Poznan, PL).
In 2009, he collaborated with the choreographer Aleksandra Lemm in the project „The Road“,during the Festival „Rewizje“ (Warsaw, PL). In 2010, he began to work as a designer, photographer and dancer, in the project „Run Dry 3“ choreographed and directed by the Berlin-based dance artist Bernardo Coloma (ARG). From March 2010 he has been collaborating with the street theater group „Strefa Ciszy", both as as a dancer and as an actor, having performed in the work "Salto Mortale II". In 2011 he participated as a choreographer and performer in the Scena Studio Poznań theater – cabaret project „Avec Plasir“, directed by Andrzej Nowakowski.
Since June 2012 he’s been related to the independent theater group Circus Ferus:
-27.07.2012 Street premiere of "Freak Show" at the festival in Poznan Old Gasworks. (As: choreographer, actor)
-2014 premiere of two performances „Hart of Poland „(as:choreographer and actor) and „3p“ (dance/movement performance on three actors , as director /choreographer and visiula artist).
He is the author of several performing arts projects and video instalations, such as UNISEX – a performance within an exhibition in the gallery Enter (Poznań, PL) and „Pink New Year“- a performance in the Municipal Gallery Arsenal (Poznań, PL).
One of his latest performative projects are:
- "Unmanifested Sound", implemented as part of the action ART HOUSES in Bydgoszcz 2011.
In 2012 he started a series of connected performances focused on movement and music improvisation related to video projection:
- "Position of A Place number 33-CKKK" - performance realized in the event "Widma Malingradu" Poznan 11.08.2012 organized by Malingrad gallery in the Kontener Art in Poznan, with the participation of the festival "Love it here".

As the creator of the video, he worked with Rafal Urbacki "Mt 9,7" "The Wake", Paul Mikolajczyk, "With you I want to watch the world", Milan Loviska "Esctopia".He was also a creater of the video and a performer in art installation project of Dalija Acin Thelander directed to children „Baby Space” produced by the Art Stations Foundation in Poznan.
In addition, he works as a photographer, as a graphic and interior designer and as an illustrator. Since 2012 he’s been working in a duet with Aneta Kowalczyk, a fashion and beauty photographer. In his artistic work, he combines his experiences in movement, painting, drawing, video and animation. He is also connected with the underground stage of electronic music in his native Poznan as a VJ.
Since 2010 he’s been developing his own physical training system based on his experience in dance, sports and Martial arts.
