Felipe Lopez is a Multi-Dimensional self-taught visual artist, mentored by Diana Muniz. Based in Houston, Texas and born in New York. Lopez's career began with his mixed media drawings & paintings shown at MECA and PVAMU. Since then he's branched off into installation video work projected on his paintings and sculpture working in unison based on neurology and science experiments based on the brain. Touted as one of the youngest contemporaries in Houston, Lopez continues to connect science through art while exhibiting in various venues while creating works in 2D and 3D including instillation and video art at Winter Street Studios in Houston, Texas. Felipe is also an avid supporter of the art community in Houston and recently has been featured in a solo show at War'Hous Houston in October 2012 and featured in an exhibition at Peveto Gallery in December 2012. Upcoming projects include creating murals at such landmarks as MECA (Multicultural Education and Counseling through the Arts) along with the continuation of his Synesthesia Sound series and new series.
