          For every photograph that is displayed, Boo Ritson has coated her subjects in emulsion paint. Literally painting onto their clothes and skin, she serves up a humorous comparison to past histories of painted portraiture. The photographs are taken while the paint is still wet. The four-person exhibition on view at the New York branch of Galerie Adler explores the influence of the (‘living picture’) tradition on contemporary photography and video.
