Art by Anthony Cruz Tablizo.
A Mixed media artist specializing in the use of Pastel and Charcoal. Anthony Cruz Tablizo was traditionally trained in figure drawing with a back ground in graffiti art as well as design. He looks at the world in different point of view. “It’s the understanding of the process of which something is made that makes it art, everything doesn’t have to have a purpose or use, somethings can just be”. He is a Bay Area artist who previously studied art at the California College of the Arts, City College of San Mateo, and graduated from San Francisco City College. “I use mixed media as well as traditional academic techniques to look at our world in its ideal state from a single moment in time. From there I study the process of how feelings toward that image being created come from ones previous memory of that moment”. Anthony Cruz Tablizo explores how the connection between a viewer and the image is created and moreover related to a moment in time in which the viewer has personally experienced that feeling.
“There are moments in our lives that we remember forever. It is our dutie as artist to capture these moments and record them in history". The memory of feeling is the strongest achievement any piece of art can have. For example a song that makes one feel to dance, a horror film which makes someone feel scared, an image that makes someone feel loved. "I am develpoing REAL EXPRESSION to explore the ideal emotion in images from our lives". This is what Anthony Tablizo explores as an artist.
