Statement / Bio

My practice is an attempt to understand the difference between things. Between being and becoming. Between substance and matter. Between shape, form and colour. The character and ‘object-ness’ is extremely important to me. I like the subtle irony between a medium and its ability to reveal or disclose information.

(b. 1988) lives and works in London, England. Studied at Chelsea College of Arts, London (MA Fine Art, 2010 - 2011) and at Sheffield Hallam University (BFA, 2007 - 2010). Received a fellowship from Atelier Austmarka, Norway (2015). Participated in a residency at the Muse Gallery, Notting Hill, London (2014), and the Crypt Gallery, Euston, London (2014). Recipient of the Departure Foundation: Studio Bursary, London (2011 - 2013). Commissioned by Sheffield Hallam University (2010). Recent exhibitions include: Among Others at the Stone Space, London (2016), Encounter in Norway (2015 - 2016), Soho Sculpture Prize, Morgan Lovell, London (2014), The London Group Centenary Exhibition (2013) and The Royal Academy of Arts Summer Show, London (2012).
