Caroline Maxwell is a multi-disciplinary artist and art historian who lives in Los Angeles. She studied art history at California State University, Northridge (B.A. 1997, M.A. 2005), attended Istituto Lorenzo de'Medici in Florence, Italy, for studio art, art history, and Italian language (1994), and most recently completed an M.F.A. degree at Claremont Graduate University, (2006).
She has attended a number of workshops and residencies in Italy and South Africa with artists Rose Shakinovsky and Claire Gavronsky, and has exhibited her work in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Italy, Berlin, and the Czech Republic.
Recently, Caroline Maxwell has had a solo show at Jan Baum Gallery, Los Angeles, and she teaches art and art history at various colleges in the Los Angeles area
