Statement

Virginia Broersma was born in San Diego, CA and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, GA. After receiving her degree she moved between San Diego, Santa Fe and Chicago for a few years and is now living in Long Beach, CA has a studio at the Beacon Arts Building in Inglewood, CA.  She has been the recipient of a Puffin Foundation artist grant and the Community Arts Assistance Program grant from the city of Chicago, which she received in both 2010 and 2011. Recently she has exhibited at the Museum of Art and History in Lancaster, CA and at JAUS Gallery in Los Angeles.
