I enjoy allowing an opportunity for the viewer’s interpretation and subjective meaning because this adds a relationship and deepens individual significance. This is my journey exploring the common visuals of deep space and microscopic imagery, and the imaginative spaces in between. While it is my journey, the story and visuals are everyones. It has been said that all images have been 'done' before. My interest in Post-Structuralism propelled this series discussing what is our common language as a species. Investigating our commonality rests in visceral imagery; stars, clouds, sea, earth, bone, blood, flesh, fire, water... Each soap painting can be described with specificity by myself, but the final aesthetic is purposefully akin to an inkblot image, or cloud watching. I enjoy incorporating quantum mechanics, general relativity, and the avant-garde work being done at the Large Hadron Collider. I also investigate String theory, which can be considered more of a faith based belief, as the theory can never be proved or disproved.
