Ser Lagania was born in the Hanover region of Lower Saxony, Germany. He moved to NYC when he was 19 years old to concentrate on photography and film. After three years he moved to London, United Kingdom to continue with his education in design and to focus on fine art. After completing millinery and fine art programmes at the Kensington and Chelsea College he studied at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design and Chelsea College of Art and Design.
He gets his inspiration from philosophy, history, poetry and literature and he portrays and highlights socio-political problems in contemporary Europe, clashes between various cultures and finding possible solutions are his current areas of interest.
Since 2007 he works on a documentary in New York City and has won in 2013 the Sculptura Award for Painters and Sculptors. He has exhibited in the United States, in United Kingdom and Germany. He currently works and lives between London and Berlin.
