Papers on Human Figurative Sculptures

I added two papers in my www.academia.edu website. The first paper describes three human figurative sculptures that tell the story about elementary school children obesity and lack of funding for physical education program which contributes to the obesity problem. The second paper describes three human figurative scullptures that tell the story of the millionaires and billionaires need to pay more taxes so their money can be distributed to the middle class and the poor in America. Transorming Kandinsky's Three Sounds painting to a ceramic sculpture

I am transforming Wassily Kandinsky's 1926 Three Sounds painting to a 15 - 23 inches tall ceramic sculpture using the geometric shapes and colors from his painting. This painting was hung on Wassily and Nina's living room wall when he was teaching at Bauhaus Art and Design school in Weimar, Germany. Ceramic Scupture class in Spring 2012

I will be taking Hiroshi's ceramic sculpture class in the spring semester at Santa Rosa Junior College. I will concentrate in handbuilding figurative ceramic sculptures with white sculpture clay, decorating the ceramic pieces with engobes, oxide washes, and glazes, and firing them in low (cone 05) and medium (cone 5) temperatures. Teapots, Pitcher, and Dinnerware Set

I handbuilt two 10 inch tall teapots using my own glazes and glazes from ceramic artists. One teapot was made with porcelain and the other teapot was made with half-n-half white stoneware clay. I fired these two teapots in a gas kiln at high temperature (cone 10). The 10 inch tall pitcher was also handbuilt. I applied texture on this piece using texture matts and flat lego board. Again, I used my own glazes on this piece and fired it in cone 10. The five piece healthy living dinnerware set was wheel thrown, applied with my own glazes, and fired in cone 10. Pictures of two small bowls fired in high temperature with special glazes

Please check out the two small bowls that I made with Laguna's B-Mix white stoneware clay, decorated with special glazes, and fired in high temperature (cone 10) in a reduction gas kiln. [more]
