The Two Gullivers. Since 1998, we work in collaboration as an artist couple, under the name The Two Gullivers. GULLIVER concept, inspired by the story of Jonathan Swift, implies the idea of travel, migration, moving as an integral part of our art. Our performative and interdisciplinary approach is a research on identity and the relationship to the Other. Our works are developed dialogically and born from a composed, multiple identity, in a constant negotiation. We concive exhibitions / events where installative works are animated by our presence, by our performance and audience interaction. Our art is a platform for exchange and multiple dialogue. An important part of our thinking about the process of creation in performance through the preparatory drawing and re-enactment as a strategy and as a method to create and to archive the ephemeral. These reflections are also subjects of our two doctoral theses that we are writing at UQAM (Montréal).
