Statement

Jennifer Nagle Myers listens and responds to the interior world and the exterior world in equal measure.  Her work engages storytelling by adopting a central character - either invented or real - to best enter into each project.  These characters have included the Town Crier from each country, the extinct goddess of the Yangtze, and the Original Matriarch who cries stones.  She works in a variety of media including drawing, printmaking, installation, video, performance, and sculpture and uses collaboration in much of her work.
