We usually focus on specific exhibitions in our posts but Pierogi 2000 in Williamsburg is a gallery worth a visit no matter what’s up. I stopped by this past Sunday having no idea what was on view and had the perfect art-viewing experience — I saw something new and thought-provoking and there were really friendly people around. The publication for Tony Fitzpatrick's exhibit "The Wonder-- Portraits of a Remembered City," at the Chicago Cultural Center, notes that, in addition to being an artist, Fitzpatrick is also "a poet, actor and raconteur."  After viewing the exhibit, it is Fitzpatrick's sensibility as a storyteller that comes out most strongly in his work.
